The rise of the digital economy has fuelled the growth of cloud computing, the internet of things, and big data volumes, increasing the demand for data centers. Data processing and consumption across the globe demand the highest levels of data center performance.

According to a recent report, revenue from data centers is expected to grow at a high CAGR of 13.8% while expected to reach $279 billion by 2032.

Client Situation

Our client is one of the largest mobile service providers in Europe. Their objective was to deliver a delightful experience to customers and create a truly ‘Digital’ world by connecting millions of people with their new products and services.

The client had to meet the growing demand for 5G services and provide their enterprise customers with a reliable and secure high-capacity transport of voice, data, and video services. They also had to upgrade its networks and capacity to meet future demands. They decided to add more cost-effective data centers by collaborating with the right partner.

Diagnosis

The client’s current IT infrastructure did not have sufficient space to expand. Their growing data volumes and increasing requirements often caused problems in their IT environment. To overcome these issues, they planned to build a new data center.

In general, building a traditional data center takes 18 to 24 months. To keep up with the pace, the client needed a data center that was flexible and scalable and could be deployed within a few weeks or months to cater to the rapidly growing business needs.

Solving It

Our prefabricated modular data center container, a self-contained module, was assembled inside a custom-built ISO shipping container. It provided a simpler, more adaptive infrastructure capable of responding to ad-hoc changes, facilitating a single, manageable ecosystem. It comprises a series of rack-mounted servers, lighting, air conditioning, cooling equipment, and a cut-off UPS.

Our data center is portable and can easily be deployed outdoors or in underused spaces like parking garages and rooftops to avoid space constraints. It was uniquely designed, tailor-built, and executed within the required timeframe. It’s flexible, agile, scalable, and compact.

In addition, the power and data cables were specially designed to prevent crossovers, endure vibrations, and deliver excellent performance for years. Besides, we provided a fallback plan to handle service outages.

The container solution had fully loaded security measures to protect data and equipment. We incorporated fire detection and protection following appropriate safety guidelines to keep workers and equipment safe.

Our containers were developed and deployed within the shortest period, within the client's budget. We accomplished the project with the highest quality and compliance standards.
