How AI/ML can help in proactively detect network anomalies and prevent network failures?

One of the major challenges faced by digital service providers is the costly service disruptions caused by abrupt network device failures, eventually resulting in high customer churn rate. Intelligent network monitoring uses AI/ML technology to proactively predict the alarm from network device performance data and syslog. The AI/ML model is trained by correlating the performance metrics data received from devices and alarm events from NMS systems. The solution can predict alarms that would occur in the next hour based on learning from past events. The system actively learns through real time feedback increasing the accuracy of prediction.

Using Intelligent network monitoring solution CSPs/DSPs can significantly reduce service disruption due to network failures, seamlessly automate event/alarm resolution and improve operational efficiency by leveraging event prediction models integrated with robotic process automation and recommendation engine.

Logical Inventory records can get corrupted over time due to M&As, technicians not updating inventory after making fixes at customer premise etc .This is a big issue as it can increase the time needed for new installs/repairs, and also means that a certain % of logical inventory is unusable because its inaccurately recorded. We can have a bot periodically scan through inventory (and customer master which faces similar issues), and compare to the “Golden” record. Corrections for straightforward scenarios can be automated, in other cases, the Bot can compile a list of mis-matched inventory records for action.
