Charles (Chip) Burke - Retired Vice President of Information Technology, Cincinnati Bell
Chip Burke was responsible for Information Technology strategy, planning, systems development and operations for information systems supporting wireline, wireless, ISP, DSL, fiber optic and video lines of business. He was responsible for planning and execution of IT efforts for the launch of several new lines of business including pre-paid and post-paid wireless. Mr. Burke led many major ordering and billing projects for Cincinnati Bell and directed projects to consolidate billing for multiple lines of business on a single bill. Mr. Burke also led projects to improve purchasing, inventory, accounting, payroll and human resource systems. While working for CBIS (now called Convergys), he prepared bids and consulted on projects for British Telecom, AT&T and other major communication companies.
In addition to his work with Cincinnati Bell, Mr. Burke was a member of the Greater Cincinnati CIO Roundtable. Mr Burke continues to serve on the Advisory boards for several local universities.
Mr. Burke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Analysis (minor in Accounting) from Miami University, and a Master of Business Administration Degree with a double major in Management and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati.
Mike Maslowski - Retired Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, CenturyLink
Mike Maslowski is CenturyTel's first Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He was responsible for all of the company's information systems activities. He has 39 years of experience working in the telecommunications business with Illinois Bell, AT&T, Lucent Technologies and CenturyTel.
Maslowski believes a sharp focus on customer needs, the company's ability to package its products and services, and an infrastructure which enhances integration and acquisition are three critical success factors for information systems at CenturyTel. His major focus was to improve the systems capability to provide better service to CenturyTel customers.
Mike holds a Graduate Certificate/Marketing from Trenton State University, New Jersey. He also attended University of Illinois and Illinois Institute of Technology.
Scott Shafer - Global Leader, Manufacturing and Strategic Industries at Aditya Birla Minacs
Mr. Shafer is currently the Global Leader, Manufacturing and Strategic Industries at Aditya Birla Minacs.
With a career of extensive experience and success across outsourced IT, CRM and BPO services behind him, Scott served as EVP-Business Process Integration Solutions for HOV Services, Inc., prior to joining Minacs. He was responsible for overseeing the HOV Solutions Group's double-digit revenue growth, significantly improved from prior years. In 2002, Scott co-founded and was president of Sherpa Business Solutions, growing it to more than 1,500 employees by 2005, when it was acquired by Firstsource Solutions. While integrating it with Firstsource, he also oversaw the latter's business development activities in the United States. Scott also played various key executive roles in The Polk Company, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Fiserv and MatchLogic, a marketing services company where Mr. Shafer oversaw its development as Chief Operating Officer from its early stages to more than $100 million annual revenue in approximately 6 years.
Scott is also a board member for an early stage managed services technology company, a $25+ million annual revenue Indian telecommunications software company and recently a founding family and board member of what is now a Top 50 high school. He is a graduate of Illinois State University.
